OmniAir Consortium® and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) have announced the agenda for the V2X and Tolling Peer Exchange, scheduled for October 28, 2026. The event will bring together federal transportation officials, tolling agencies, automotive manufacturers, and technology providers to explore how vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications can support the future of electronic toll collection.
The Peer Exchange will focus on emerging V2X technologies, national deployment activities, interoperability, standards, certification, and opportunities to integrate V2X into tolling operations. Participants will also discuss agency deployment experiences, industry perspectives, and priorities for future collaboration.
Federal and Industry Perspectives
The program will open with remarks from PJ Wilkins, executive director of E-ZPass/IAG, followed by a national V2X update from USDOT covering deployment activities, regulatory developments, direct and network V2X communications, security, and technical assistance resources.
